On 3 December 2004 City of Truro returned from Plymouth to Bristol and again was in superb form on a brilliantly sunny, but very cold morning. The 4-4-0 is seen here at Combe Fishacre, climbing the 1 in 38 (2.63%) slope of Dainton Bank – again being driven very hard in an (unsuccessful) attempt to capture the eastbound speed record for preserved steam.
