Returning to Bristol on 3 December 2004, City of Truro made another amazing assault, this time on the eastbound climb to Whiteball Tunnel. The spirited “old lady” is seen here nearing the summit of 5 miles, (8 kms) of 1 in 115 (0.87%) with speed still in the high Forties (mph) and with steam to spare!
