Now this picture was NEVER intended! We had just seen and photographed the A4 at Victoria station and then set off to Barnes to see it on the move. Having made it as far as Clapham Junction, our train to Barnes was suddenly re-platformed and then 60009 'Union of South Africa' immediately appeared running a little early we thought! A quick dash to get into position and this was the result. A4s would never have gone through Clapham Junction in their days, operating out of Kings Cross to Scotland and the North, so its an unlikey place to picture one. Its March 2003.
