34067 is one of our favourite steamers being the original streamlined version of a classic Southern loco. Not only that but when travelling behind this engine you know for sure you are on a steam train with clouds of smoke and plenty of that special whiff steam engines produce. For taking you back to the past and sheer atmosphere it was SUPERB. After approaching 40 years since 'kettles' were retired by BR who would have thought then that you could still enjoy a run like this on the main line well into the 21st century. BRILLIANT.....LONG MAY IT LAST! The date is 12th May 2005 at Shalford.
