National Tramway Museum, Crich. Southampton tram 45 passes Newcastle tram 102 at the point where the double-track from the museum gate becomes single. 45 was built by Hurst Nelson in 1903 and was the first British tramcar to pass into private preservation, in January 1949. 102 passed into private hands for preservation in February 1949.
