Test Car No 5 with pantograph up has clearly been used to test the recently erected & energised overhead
wires on the HST's way up from London Kings Cross. The first section of the ECML electrification was to Leeds
and class 91s would be taking over from HSTs which had themselves 10 or so years earlier replaced the Deltics.
