Track Recording Unit.
Class 150 derivative `Infrastructure Test Unit' at Edinburgh
Waverley. This unit was purpose built in 1987 and equipped
with track recording equipment in order to test the
quality of the permanent way. Note the former BR
`red-band' livery and different window configuration of
the two carriages. Numbers of this unit are 999600 + 999601.
Similarity of this unit to the 50 class 150/1 units
(150101-150) is due to the fact that this unit was an additional
add on order to the end of these units, thus technically
becoming the 51st class 150/1 that was built, albeit not
for passenger use.
