Network Rail Class 960 (ex-Class 121) DMU 960302 is the Severn Tunnel emergency train. It is seen here stabled west of Severn Tunnel Junction station, with sturdy metal coverings over the windows in what is presumably an anti-vandalism measure. Just visible on the extreme right of the photo is the nose of a Class 08 shunter.<p>
This photograph was taken from the window of a passing First Great Western HST.
