According to my 1978 stock guide this 4 Sub...now reduced to 2 cars...is a class 405 EMU originating from 1949. We did not know for sure that these were
still running so it was well worth the effort to see this old unit 930002 out on its sandite run over 54 years later. This required us to make a trip down to
Hither Green on the 26th November 2003.
