We were very lucky in being able to see this. Having delayed our departure from
Kensington to picture the scrap move we looked likely to miss our train from London
Victoria to Faversham, but a broken rail at Rochester meant services were running about
15 mins late. Soon after our arrival at Faversham the class 310 'Hitachi Test Train' duly appeared
giving us the opportunity to photograph something very unusual. The date is July 22nd 2004.
