We doubt whether a class 310 or 312 has ever been seen in this part of the country before
the arrival of the 'Hitachi Test Train' now officially numbered 960201. Up until this week
the test runs had been made at night and to our knowledge this picture was just prior to the 
departure of the very last run as the tests were then said to be complete. They are we think connected
the possible introduction of commuter trains using the new high speed line. The place is 
Faversham and the date July 22nd 2004.
