UK Work Equipment. A Plasser & Theurer ballast tamping machine was parked in a siding at Southall on that Saturday morning in June 1972 when I was photographing Hymeks, 47s and Westerns. <BR> It bears the number VDN300-1 painted on the side which might be a serial number or model number.  <P>
