a-302_Larissa.jpg (137067 bytes)

It's rare to see the last remaining in operation World Series ALCo in Greece heading with the "wrong" cab side, as it's seen here.

The reason for this occurence: the train is departing from Larissa in Central Greece towards Kalambaka and Meteora, so it'll go to Palaiofarsalos, then reverse direction in order to go into the Kalambaka branch (there are no wyes or turntables available).

Digital photo taken during a photographic excursion trip with a Swiss/German group, Saturday 7 June 2003.
