A pre-signal in the nearby of Zagreb. Pre-signals are marked by a white board with two black triangles touching in one point. Unlike the signals, they have white signal-pole with black stripes (the signals have red stripes). The small white board below the lights reads "PsX" (Pre-signal X), which designates the appropriate main signal (e.g. PsB is the pre-signal of the signal B). Pre-signals usually have only two lights - the upper green and the lower yellow - to indicate which light is to be expected at the main signal. The distance from the pre-signal and the related main signal should be long enough for stopping the train. If the main signal cannot be observed clearly from a sufficient distance, an additional repeater of the pre-signal is inserted in between, which is marked with "PS" and with a lowermost still white light.
