Zlatar Bistrica railway station, marking approximately the half-point of Zagreb-Varazdin line, is about 6 km away from Marija Bistrica. The building has been repainted in Vatican colors for the occasion of Pope John Paul II's second visit to Croatia - Marija Bistrica, on 1998/10/3.

<br>The picture was taken on 1999/10/03 at 15:30, just before the arrival of two trains: the one from Zagreb (no. 992 Zagreb 14:20 - Zlatar Bistrica 15:33 - Varazdin 16:34 - Kotoriba 17:20) and the other one from Varazdin (no. 30.15 Varazdin 14:23 - Zlatar Bistrica 15:34 - Zagreb 17:19).
