two_classical_m44_locomotives.jpg (159306 bytes)

Two classical Bobo locmotives in one picture
Bobos are among the most classicals of Hungarian locomotives, the first real diesel locos with 440 kW performance they are left here from the golden age of the Hungarian locomotive constructer Ganz-MÁVAG. Today most of the M44s still in service are re-motorized versions (first by Ganz engines, later, which became the M44 400 series, with a Caterpillar engine and a complete overhaul) and only a few classics remain, mostly at distant and less important stations.
