M62 108 at station Nagybatony

Coal transport from Gyula-rakodo (next to Kisterenye) to Tiszaujvaros power station, like in the good old days. Such trains are quite rare now as most of the mines are closed in the Salgotarjan region and performance of heavy industry is strongly went back here.

This was the only M62 we saw working a train during our visit but at least it was a claggy old workhorse with plenty of character. M62-104 comes out of a yard at Ferencveros Budapest on the 20th October 2005.

m62-108_kisterenye-banyatelep.jpg (48691 bytes)

M62 108 Vizslás és Kisterenye-Bányatelep között
Hétfő ellenére még tehervonat sem volt, sőt tolatnivaló sem, így a salgótarjáni tartalék is hazatért egy gépmenetben.

The M62 108 between Vizslás and Kisterenye-Bányatelep
Despite being Monday there weren't any freight trains so the six-axle freight locomotive returned to Hatvan alone. No thrill.

m62-108_puspokhatvan-1.jpg (50664 bytes)

M62 108 Püspökhatvan és Galgagyörk között
Nógrádkövesdig a legerősebb a pálya, odáig Szergej is mehet, attól fölfelé már csak külön engedéllyel. Így járt fönt a 241-es Bézéért a pályavasút Nohabja is. Az egyikből lesz a Ceglédbercel-Cserői balesetben megsemmisült Amsler mérőkocsi utóda, a másik (valószínűleg a 241-es) pedig bányagép lesz.

The M62 108 between Püspökhatvan and Galgagyörk
The track is strongest till Nógrádkövesd, Sergeis may go till that station. Above that they can only run with special permissions, but it's not unheared of: an M61 Nohab in use by the track mainteance company went to the Balassagyarmat depot to take to unused Bzmot railcars to their base to have one of them converted to a track inspection and measurement railcar to replace the tiny Amsler unit destroyed in a crash with a V43-pulled freight train at Ceglédbercel-Cserő.
