A többször török és magyar kézen is megfordult erődöt végül saját lőportornya rongálta meg, miután belecsapott egy villám. Ezután a törökök inkább sorsára hagyták, de előbb maradék védelmi képességétől is megfosztották, nehogy az ellenség fölhasználhassa.
