<br>On 12 January 2001, all the M61s were lined up at the national railway preservation site ("Füsti") in Budapest

<br>M61 001: One of the locos preserved at the museum by MÁV Nosztalgia Ltd. since the opening on 14 July 2000
<br>M61 002: Cannibalised in summer 2000 for parts for M61 001, its fate has not been secured yet
<br>M61 006: Loco transported to the museum on 22 December 2000, its fate has not been secured yet
<br>M61 010: Loco transported to the museum on 22 December 2000, its fate not yet secured, the NoHAB-GM Foundation would like to purchase it
<br>M61 019: Loco transported to the museum on 22 December 2000, its fate has not been secured yet
<br>M61 020: Loco transported to the museum on 22 December 2000, the other one of the locos preserved at the museum
