The only one remaining unit of the V55 locomotive. This was a modified Kando-design with phase and frequency exchanger for the use of small size AC traction motors. This locomotive is of interest due to its unusual wheel arrangement (Bo'Co'). However, due to producing disorders this was an uncuccessful series. The locomotives were produced in 1950 (001), 1952 (002) and 1954-1957 (003-012). They ran between Budapest and Hatvan. In the middle of 60's they were withdrawn. One unit (004) was used as braking electric locomotive for speed and loading tests, then renumbered to 006 and exhibited at the Northern Railway Workshop of Budapest, Hungary.
