Station Bátaszék - a former main junction of Hungary before the first World War and the humiliating peace treaty when among other things Hungarys' railway network was busted.
<br>It was one of the main junction of Southern Hungary - with trains to Pecs, Szabadka (now Subotica-YU), Szeged, Kaposvar, Budapest. Szabadka, a that time pure Hungarian city was annexed by the Serbs only to cripple the Hungarian railways.
<br>Traffic went back strongly - besides some passenger trains there are only a few local freight trains at the station though it's next to the Baja Railway Bridge - the only railway bridge in Hungary southern from Budapest.
