NIR 101 Class.

102 leaves NIR's Adelaide freight terminal on Mon 24th Aug 1998 with a short trip working of Guinness bound for the Guinness warehouse/yard 1/2 miles down the line. To the left of the picture, 735+766+85, a 80 Class 3-Car DMU can be seen approaching.
Built by BREL Doncaster in 1970 as sub-contractors for the Hunslet Engine Co, Leeds, This is the only loco out iof the 3 built for NIR that is still in active service. The other two being stored unserviceable.

NIR - 102

Lok 102 in Portadown am 19. August 1984. Die Lok gehört zur Serie 101-103, wurde 1970 von BREL in Doncaster gebaut, leistet etwa 1007 kW und trägt den Namen Falcon. Portadown liegt 42 km (26 miles) südlich Belfast an der Strecke nach Dublin.

NIR - 112

Personenzug mit Lok 112 in Lisburn am 20. August 1984. Die Lok gehört zur Serie 111-113, wurde 1980/1981 von General Motors in La Grange, Illinois, USA, gebaut, leistet etwa 1828 kW und trägt den Namen Northern Counties. Lisburn liegt 13 km (8 miles) südlich Belfast an der Strecke nach Dublin.

Northern Ireland Railways diesel electric locomotives 102 "Merlin" and 112 "Northern Counties" at Belfast Central Depot. This depot was on the site of the Belfast and County Down Railway's Queen's Quay station. The whole area has now disappeared under the recently completed motorway bridge and approach roads crossing the River Lagan.
