Station of SAN LORENZO-CIPRESSA on the Riviera Ligure/Riviera di Ponente (Ligurian Riviera/West Coast) in Italy, well known also as Riviera dei Fiori (Flower Riviera). This station was closed on 24.09.2002; the railway line was transferred between Bordighera and Imperia Porto Maurizio into a long tunnel. I hate this new tunnel railway! It's awful!

With closing of the seashore railway line on the section: Imperia Porto Maurizio - Bordighera in September 2001, the beautiful touristic village San Lorenzo al Mare, close to Imperia, lost its railway station.

The closed station of SAN LORENZO-CIPRESSA, situated just a few walking minutes from the seaside and the beach. Thousands of tourists from all over the world were passing there every day enjoying a spectacular view on the Mediterranean Sea - until September 24, 2001, when the seashore railway on the section: Imperia Porto Maurizio - Bordighera was closed and replaced by a new double track tunnel railway.
