The Ligurian Railway Museum (Il Museo Ferroviario Ligure) on
the old station of TAGGIA ARMA in the ligurian touristic vilage
Arma di Taggia (Riviera dei Fiori). This station was closed on
21.09.2001. The new station is very far away from the seaside.
If you want to travel to Arma di Taggia, I recommend you not to
take the new tunnel railway - the new station is very far
away from the seashore and the public transport services are very
bad. Better you take a trolleybus (filobus) from Ventimiglia.

The station of TAGGIA ARMA on the line: Genova Piazza Principe -
Ventimiglia as it was until 21.09.2001. This station was located
in the beautiful touristic village Arma di Taggia, directly on the
seashore, under palm-trees and in oleander flowers. On 21.09.2001
it was closed and replaced by a new station close to the village
Taggia - very far away from the seashore.

The old station TAGGIA ARMA on the line Genova - Ventimiglia
under palm-trees and between oleander flowers was in service
until September 24, 2001; on that date a new tunnel railway was
opened and the spectacular seashore railway between Bordighera and
Imperia Porto Maurizio closed. Now there is a railway museum
on this station (Il Museo Ferroviario Ligure). Mr. Loiacono
welcomes you there every saturday.

TEN MONTHS AFTER: the beautiful station TAGGIA ARMA on the line Genova - Ventimiglia
under palm-trees and between oleander flowers was closed on September 24, 2001. The new
station with the same name is very far away from the seashore. Now there is a railway
museum on this old station (Il Museo Ferroviario Ligure). Mr. Loiacono welcomes you
there every saturday.
Ten months before I could arrive here by train; this summer I could not stop my tears when I saw a closed seashore line, that was so spectacular!
