HK-KZ Kosovo Railways Fushė Kosovė is a major railway junction where lines from the north (Beograd and Kraljevo), east (Prishtinė and Nis), south (Skopje) and west (Peja) meet. However, traffic is currently very limited with the northern line closed, and the eastern line only operated for a few km up to Prishtinė. Fushė Kosovė, 24-08-2009 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |

ZS - Serbia Modern signals secure the northern exit of Zvecan station in Kosovo. Although located in Kosovo the station is actually operated by the Serbian Railways. Zvecan, 25-08-2009 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |

ZS - Serbia The flag makes is very clear: The Serbian Railways operate this station! The Serbian Railways operate deep into Kosovo, into the part where the population mainly consists of Serbs. Of course the Kosovo gouvernment is very crossed about this, and forbids all train operation over the "internal" border between Zvecan and Mitrovicė. Actually, passenger service north of Fushė Kosovė has been withdrawn by Kosovo Railways. Zvecan, 25-08-2009 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
