Type: Diesel-electric express passenger locomotive TEP70- 0332 in Vilnius locomotive depo (Lithuanian railways company LG) gauge 1,520 mm. Passenger locomotives class TEP-60 and TEP-70 manufactured in the Kolomna, Russia locomotive factory are used as traction for all international train routes in Lithuania. These are the routes to the Kaliningrad region ( an area on the Baltic Sea between Lithuania and Poland under Russian administration since World War II ) via Nesterov ( RZD ), to St. Petersburg, Russia via Daugavpils(LDZ), and to Riga, the capital of Latvia. Same locomotives were used in the past for the now suspended international train St. Petersburg - Warsaw - Berlin via Grodno (BC) , Belarus. Local passenger service in Lithuania is by electric trains, diesel locomotive trains and by light, diesel-powered passenger car. At present, class TEP-60 and TEP-70 locomotives are used in 5 passenger trains in Lithuania. Lithuanian Railways Co. owns (12) TEP-60 and (4) TEP-70 units.
