The CRH2 was developed and built by Kawasaki and Sifang as a derivative of
the Shinkansen E2 Series, in service since 2007 (as 8-car trains CRH2A).
The sub-type CRH2B (in service since 2008) consists of 16 cars, 8 of which
are powered, reaching a speed of 250 km/h with a power of 9600 kW. The cars
1 to 3 are first class (ZY), car 8 is a dining car (CA), the rest second
class (ZE).
