Egyptian National Railways (ENR) Class 2120, No 2132. Better known as a EMD Class 66 JT42CWRM
in Misr Station, Alexandria.

The Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) Class 66 (or JT42CWR) is a series of Co-Co six axle diesel locomotives
built by EMD for the European heavy freight market. Originally designed for use in Great Britain
as the Class 66, a development of the Class 59, they have since been adapted and certified for use in
other European countries. Outside Europe, 40 locomotives have been sold to Egyptian Railways for passenger
operation. ENR were the first non-European customer to use this loco for passenger use.

The EMD JT42CWRM is equipped with a 3,300 THP 12N-710G3B 12 cylinder engine and a EM2000 microprocessor
locomotive control system that provides improved locomotive reliability and performance.

ENR Class 2120, No 2150 (EMD Class 66 JT42CWRM) having arrived at Ramses station, Cario.

One of 40 Electro-Motive Diesel JT42CWRM locomotives supplied to Egyptian National Railways. They are the
first locomotives from the Class 66 family to be delivered to a customer outside Europe. The locomotives
are deployed on passenger routes.

They have 12-cylinder 12N-710G3B engines, and EM2000 microprocessor controls which provide diagnostic information
for maintenance. The cabs are air-conditioned and have easy-access emergency exit doors.

ENR Alstom GA DE 900 AC diesel-electric Shunter No. 1125 standing in Cario Ramses station.

The GA-DE 900 is a family of 4 axle Bo'Bo' diesel electric locomotives manufactured in Spain, by Meinfesa.
The class derive from the RENFE Class 311 type locomotive developed by MTM , Ateinsa and Babcock and Wilcox.

ENR have 30 of the GA DE 900's supplied in 2000. Photographed 23rd May 2010.
