Cairo Sadat Metro Station (Line 2), Tahrir Square. <P>


Construction of Cairo Metro Line 2 started in the mid 1990's and was completed in January 2005. <BR>

It runs from the north at Shobra El Kheima to El Mounib, Giza Suburbs in the south. Its length <BR>

is 13 miles (21.5 km) with 20 stations, and It is the first line in history to have a tunnel <BR>

going under the Nile. Rolling stock is supplied by Mitsubishi. <P>
