Indian Railways air-conditioned three tier sleeping car ER 09122. ER stands for eastern railway, the number indicates that this coach was built in 2009. After testing a number of new designs such as the IRY, Indian Railways decided for a type developed by LHB in Germany (today part of Alstom), with Fiat Eurofima bogies for 160 km/h. Nevertheless the production of older types (for 130 km/h, cheaper to produce) continued to this day. Only a few coaches were built by LHB and imported, most (including new types derived from the basic design) were built by Rail Coach Factory in India. This coach has the "Duronto" design for nonstop long distance trains. New Delhi, 2013-01-03.
