Not what it appears to be. This is the Haifa-East diesel depot in June 1992. ISR class GP-16 #162, built in 1961 and captured from the Egyptians in the 1967 war, is undergoing a massive overhaul. Note the many MFE diesel switchers dumped around – Haifa-East was their final resting place before they were all sold off as scrap metal. This yard is empty today. Photo and scan by Alon Siton
