Kenya-Uganda Railway class EC3 #87, Nairobi Railway Museum
Kenya-Uganda Railway EC3 87 'Karamoja', a 4-8-4+4-8-4 Garratt-type steam locomotive built in 1940 by Beyer-Peacock, exhibited at the Nairobi Railway Museum. Renumbered by East African Railways as EAR 5711. This is the only surviving engine of this class originally consisting of 12 locomotives. Photo taken Sunday 9 November 2014.
