The improving political stability in Liberia has led to a strong demand for iron ore. Two Romanian-built diesel-hydraulic locomotives(LDH 125-195 and LDH 125-472) were obtained second hand in 2008 by a Belgian dealer and shipped for the haulage of trains loaded with ores. Here standard gauge LDH 125-195 and LDH 125-472 respectively are seen equipped with Janney coupler at Buchanan.
