94 81 4828 801-2 A-STH, first of 20 ordered dual system units (750 V and 15000 V) for Regionalstadtbahn Linz. The owner is Schiene OÖ, the operator is Stern Hafferl Verkehr. There are options for up to 50 units to be ordered later. They will initially operate on the LILO line, allowing a denser rhythm in peak hours. Later they will go on a newly built standard gauge tram-train line through Linz, the Mühlkreisbahn (which is planned to be electrified) and a new branch to Auhof. The units are of type Stadler Citylink reaching 100 km/h, with 94 seats, space for 2 wheelchairs and an accessible toilet. Length 37.5 m, width 2.65 m, weight 65 t, minimum radius 22 m. To increase seating capacity and for static reasons (heavy transformer on the roof) the middle section has no doors. The station of Eferding, owned by Schiene OÖ and operated by Stern & Hafferl. It is rather oldfashioned with very low platforms and level crossings, but a complete rebuilding is planned including an underpass and 55 cm platforms for barrier-free level boardings of trains. 2026-03-17.
