the date the photo was taken, these trainsets will be replaced by the somewhat
more modern Plan U class. 26/12/96.

Every hour the old and smelly diesel trainsets of this class move some
passengers over the Eastern Betuwelijn between Tiel and Arnhem. 26/12/96.

In a few weeks this picture will be history! The trainsets of this class are
being replaced by the somewhat newer diesels of the Plan U class. Don't be
fooled by the overhead wire over the train: the sign on the bottom left marks
the end of the overhead wire! Trainset 163 leaving Tiel on its way to Arnhem on 26 December 1996.
