NedTrain Amsterdam Zaanstraat workshop open day
At the end of the TEE era in Europe the SBB and NS diesel trainsets were sold to Canada, and operated over there as "Northlander" for many years. Five coaches were returned to Europe, first to Switzerland but they have now been acquired by the Stichting TEE in The Netherlands.

The problem of returning a TEE diesel trainset to service is that in Canada all motor cars were scrapped. There are plans to build a new motor car, perhaps based on an existing locomotive, but this will be quite expensive!

The interior of this former TEE coach is in a very reasonable state, although not much work has been done since it returned from Canada. The seats are very comfortable!
