Railhopper 2107 broke down at Ommen as train 3841 (Zwolle - Emmen). The 2104 was sent to pick up the stranded train. The picture shows the 2104 + 2107 after return at Zwolle, the 2107 has already been uncoupled from the 2104.

2*SM90 'Railhopper', still not allowed to operate with a single EMU because of the many problems. If one breaks down, the other can provide traction back home.

NS - The Netherlands The small (prototype) class SM'90 2101-9 was never really successful. They are normally restricted to the railway line Zwolle - Emmen. Right now they are used for the all-station stopping service, in the near future they will be used for the limited-stop express trains on this line. Rather dirty trainset 2108 and an unidentified second depart from Emmen with the local train to Zwolle. Emmen, 16/11/2001

SM90 SM90 trainsets 2101 and 2109 at station Mariënberg on the 26th of January 1998. On the right you can see Plan-U trainset 141 in service as local train Almelo - Mariënberg. Now Buscompany Oostnet has taken over the passenger service on this line.

SM90 SM90 trainset 2105 is approching station Mariënberg on the 26th of February 1998. This type of trains can only be found on the line Zwolle - Emmen. These trains are the test class of the SM90 and there are only 9 of them build. The Dutch Railways has never ordered more trains of this type because the NS had a lot of troubles with SM90.

SM90 SM90 2106 with the IC+ and locomotive 1780 on the background, an unusual combination, seen at Haarlem on the 15th of June 1998. Haarlem is an unusual place to find SM90 because they only run on Zwolle - Emmen. It was here probably for maintanance.
