Shunting yard of the Corus blast furnaces (iron factory) at IJmuiden/Beverwijk. O&K locomotive 823 shunts with a train of steel coils. The flat cars are for internal transport only, and have no breaks.

Shunting yard of the Corus blast furnaces (iron factory) at IJmuiden/Beverwijk. O&K locomotive 825 shunts with a flat car for internal transport. These locomotives have remote control, the driver is actually standing on the flat car.

Corus Diesel Engine 824 hauling the Railion "Dolomiet" train (some sort of chalk) with "Tals" & "Falns" to the Corus railyard at Beverwijk station Netherlands. Shot in June the 6th, 2006. I was there with my ultimate cheap camera.......better this than nothing folks!!!

Shunting yard of the Corus blast furnaces (iron factory) at IJmuiden/Beverwijk. On the tracks in the back the shunting locomotives owned by Corus are stabled. There are two main types still in service: class 983-999/901-909 with a central cabin built by GE between 1963 and 1971 (11 left), and class 820-825 built by O&K built in 1976 with two cabins (4 left).
