Eurailscout - The Netherlands Dutch Railway Society NVBS repeated an excursion that was made 40 years ago: Amsterdam-Alkmaar with a mail motor car (then brand new), by diesel to Hoorn and with steam to Medemblik. Eurailscout measuring car "Jules" is shunted at the back of the train for the return to Amersfoort. The first stop of the day was made at Naarden-Bussum, where the train was overtaken by two InterCity trains. The train consists of Eurailscout measuring car "Jules", museum railway VSM diesel locomotive 2530 (former NS) and three "Blokkendoos" historic coaches, also former NS and owned by VSM.
