The 180 was taken out of service due to damage by a fire. The DMU was located at Hengelo.

Syntus - The Netherlands Syntus operates the last remaining diesel trainset class DE2/161 in active service on Almelo - Mariënberg. Actually Connexxion holds the concession for this line, but Syntus operates the trains. Almelo, 16/11/2001

Syntus - The Netherlands Syntus diesel trainset 186 (type DE2) leaves Mariënberg on its way to Almelo. Connexxion was in the process of obtaining two rail busses class 141 from the UK, but this now seems to be cancelled. Mariënberg, 16/11/2001
