Norwegian State Railways class El 18.2256 hauls an intercity train through the village of Ås 30 kilometres south of Oslo in September 2002. Having been a “jack of all trades”, this class is seen in front of both regional-, intercity- and express trains, even if Emus of different classes tend to be more and more dominant. In the intercity network around Oslo, for instance, Emus of class 70 and 73B are responsible for about 70% of the service. Photo by Leif-Harald Ruud (http://home.no.net/leifharu - lhruud@broadpark.no)
