Several times In 2004, service on the western corridor (Oslo-Drammen) was limited due to building of a new double track between Sandvika and Asker. Therefore, a number of trains were redirected to the line between Hønefoss and Roa. Normally, only a modest number of trains use this 32 kilometres long, singletracked connection. This picture from 19.07.04 shows the morning express Bergen-Oslo; consisting of an Emu class 73, just after its departure from Hønefoss. The magnificent arch bridge dates from the opening of the Bergen line in 1909. Photo: Leif-Harald Ruud E-post: lhruud@broadpark.no Web: http://home.no.net/leifharu
