| NSB El 13 2142. Built 1962 by Thune/NEBB, in service until 2002. 37 units were built 1957 to 1966 as an improvement over class El 11. 72 t, 115 km/h, 2648 kW. The locomotive went 5068611 km in its active time and was donated to the museum by CargoNet. It is preserved in its red livery of 1982 and still operational. Class 13.2127 at Myrdal station on 13 June 1983 with a freight service. This class was built between 1957 and 1966. (rated at 2650 kW/3600 hp). Setting film exposure for the train led to overexposure of the snow-clad mountains.

Two locomotives of class El 13 in Skien a summer afternoon in 2002. After 45 years in duty, this class is now withdrawn from mainline service. The remaining locomotives are mainly used for shunting trains, and the units on this photo were hauling limestone trains on the Brevik branch line south off Porsgrunn about 200 kilometres southwest of Oslo.
