A loco of Norwegian State Railways class El 17 hauling a regional train from Gjøvik to Oslo. When they were introduced in the early eighties, the locos of class El 17 served the prestige expresses on the Oslo-Trondheim line. However, during the last 20 years, their duties became more and more modest due to technical problems and insufficient traction power. Today, they are only in service on the Oslo-Gjøvik line (124 kilometres) and the beautiful Myrdal-Flåm line.
