Norwegian State Railways class El 17.2222 hauls a regional train Oslo-Gjøvik 26.05.2003. The picture is taken in a charming woodland setting about 12 kilometres north of downtown Oslo, and shows a locomotive which got a prestigious entrance to the Norwegian railways in the early eighties. After the introduction of class El 18 (a derivative of the Swiss class 465), the locos were deranged to more modest duties, and in the future, they will only be seen on the scenic Flåm Railway in the western part of Norway.
