Bogatynia in the most southwestern point of Poland is a strange place.
Once connected to Zittau (Germany) and Frydlant (Czech Republic) by an
east-west narrow gauge line, a standard gauge line from the north
(from Zawidow) was built in the 1950s to serve the mining and
electricity industry. Nowadays only two passenger train pairs
run to/from Bogatynia. As you can see, there is no service to
the passenger at all apart from a low platform....
PKP Sp42 diesel locomotive is about to leave with the morning train
to Luban Slaski.
