In 1995-6 some of universal EU-07 class locomotives were rebuilt to decrease their maximum rotational speed of the engines without decreasing maximum speed of 125 km/h. The new class was named EP07. Photo shows the express train from Gdynia before reaching Gdansk-Oliwa station, pulled by EP07-400 (taken on June 26, 1997). Photo and scan by: Jerry D. Stawarz (http://panda.bg.univ.gda.pl/~jareks/pekape e-mail: jareks@fs-samba.com.pl) |

EP07-382 + EP07-383 (both from Gdynia Joint Depot) with an ordinary passenger train no. 2026 from Gdynia Glowna Osobowa to Bydgoszcz Glowna. At the beggining of 1998, the maximum route speed near Katowice was lowered down, so one train was always late, while going back from Katowice to Gdynia and couldn't be coupled in Bydgoszcz with the second half of this train going from Lodz Kaliska. So both trains went back as separate halfs and the second loco was provided, using this passenger train to Bydgoszcz.

Trains on the line Krakow - Zakopane need to reverse direction three
times. Most trains are operated by EMU's, so there it's not a problem.
However, the direct express trains Warsaw - Zakopane have a loco in front,
which needs to move to the other side of the train at each station.
Such a reversal taking place in Chabowka, August 2003
