Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary funicular at Braga (Portugal). In memoriam of Manuel Joaquim Gomes, the bussinesman who promoted the building of this funicular, the first built in Portugal. This monument was inaugurated in 1957, in the 75th aniversary of the opening of this elevator.

Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary funicular at Braga (Portugal). Travels are steered by a unique driver since the coach that goes down. Coaches speed are regulated throug a rack-brake system. A gear installed on the one of the axles of the vehicles wheels along a rack situated between the rails of the track.
