The 169, constructed in 1925, is a typical representive of the tram of Porto. In total there were 97 of these type called "Brill-23", "Brill-28" and "Brill-28 Plataforma Salao" with only slight alterations between them.

The 210 did spent its day with advertizing for the nearby opening of a large clothing shop at Boavista. Here it is returning to the Massarelos-depot.

On a large part of the straight and long Avenida da Boavista, the tram doesn't have to share the space with the other traffic. The speed reached by the over 60 years old tramcars on this part of the network is remarkable high.

The Rua da Senhora da Luz is a narrow street with partly single track. Only the tram is allowed to ride in both directions, for the other traffic it is one way only. Traffic lights make it possible for the tram to go the "wrong" direction.

In the summer of 1995 several tramcars didn't wear advertizing as can be seen here when a wrong parked van causes delays of respective 40, 25 and 10 minutes for the 213, 205 and 131.

The 221 makes rides on the Boavista traffic-round. This manoeuvre to turn from ending-point to starting-point of the Boavista terminus takes about 4 minutes.

In june 1996 frequency on Porto's last tramline no 18 was decreased from each 15 minutes to each 35 minutes. Only 3 tramcars instead of 7 are necesary. At the other hand, the tram was riding again on sundays. Something wich did not happen since 1983. Not eveyone knew this. And as parking of cars on the tramtracks is very common, on one early sunday evening in july all three tramcars came together because of wrong parked cars.
