The new owner had no use of the steam heating generator, so the locomotive was registred in class 81. However, the steam generator is still present and (theoreticaly) in service. Rosiori Nord, Romania Constantin Grup (loco is rented from Servtrans Invest) 81-0701-3 Train: P 15001 (Rosiori Nord - Pitesti) The steam connection can be seen under the buffers. This should provide heating in that -5 deg. Celsius night. However... all that was pumped inside the train (formed of "comfortable" 29-22 type cars) was (very) cold water and no steam (,, I only have to start the installation, it's not my job to fix it" was the answer of the conductor). So we enjoyed the cold for almost 3 hours, untill we arrived in Pitesti and moved into a properly heated CFR Calatori's train. We also "enjoyed" paying 5 RON instead of 4.4 RON for a ticket and receiving ticket for... 1.5 RON, the rest probably went into conductor's budget. More pictures with class 81 locomotives.
